Our Story
Founded in 1986 by a team of licensed therapists and mental health advocates, CIT began with a simple goal: to make mental health care more accessible to those who often face barriers to seeking support. We recognized the growing need for affordable therapy and mental health education, particularly in marginalized communities. Since then, we have been working tirelessly to create a space where individuals can receive the support they need to thrive.

Programs and Services
CIT offers a variety of services designed to meet the diverse needs of our community:

- Individual Therapy: One-on-one counseling for individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and other mental health challenges. Our licensed therapists offer a safe, confidential space for clients to explore their emotions and work through difficult life situations.
- Family Counseling: We provide family therapy sessions aimed at improving communication, resolving conflicts, and strengthening relationships. Our counselors support families in navigating challenging dynamics, from parenting struggles to blended family issues.
- Group Therapy: Our specialized group therapy sessions are designed to address specific mental health issues, providing participants with tools, insights, and emotional support to navigate their struggles in a collaborative setting.
- Youth Counseling: We recognize the unique challenges that children and teens face in today’s world. Our youth counseling services are tailored to help young individuals cope with issues such as bullying, academic stress, and emotional regulation.
- Crisis Intervention: Our team is trained to provide immediate support to individuals experiencing mental health crises, including suicide prevention and emergency counseling.

Our Impact
At CIT, we are proud to have helped hundreds of individuals and families find healing and hope. Our clients often report increased emotional well-being, improved coping skills, and stronger relationships as a result of our services. With each session, we empower individuals to overcome their challenges, regain control over their lives, and discover new pathways to healing.
